Terms & Conditions

Our detailed terms and conditions are outlined below. Should you have any further queries or requests ahead of your visit, please do not hesitate to contact us

Reservation Duration
Tables are available for one hour and forty five minutes  after which they will be re-booked.
We respectfully ask that you are ready to be seated at the time of your reservation to ensure the best possible level of service to all of our guests. If you are running late, we kindly ask that you notify us by telephone at your earliest convenience.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least four hours’ notice for every cancellation. For bookings cancelled with less than four hours’ notice,  any deposit paid will be held
 In the event that you do not show up deposits will also be held, We also  request a deposit to guarantee a table on on busy days. We are sorry that cancellation charges and deposits have become necessary but we have had too many “no-shows” resulting in empty tables we could have reserved for other customers. Deposits that are paid will be taken from your bill on the night
We may contact you to confirm your reservation, if we can not get in contact with you after numerous attempts the booking can be cancelled this will only happen if a deposit has not been paid, we will always make at least 4 attempts to contact you before cancelling a reservation
Provisional bookings can only be held for seven days

Table Allocation

Due to the large number of requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee specific areas when taking reservations, but we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Your understanding is appreciated.

Food Safety and Allergens

We respectfully ask that food that has not been prepared in our kitchens is not consumed on our premises. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes celebratory cakes so please ask if you would like a cake  made by us or brought in from one of our suppliers . At least 48 hours’ notice is required, so please call or e-mail the restaurant as far in advance as possible. The reasons we have implemented this policy are that we are (i) often unable to find a place to store the cake in a fridge, which is often required for food safety purposes, (ii) the service of food not on the menu can impact our quality of service to the customer who brought the cake and customers on other tables, especially if we were not warned in advance, (iii) in the event of an alleged food poisoning or serious allergic reaction of one of our guests, we would be unable to trace the source in accordance with our Food Safety procedures.
Currently all customers are required to be off the premises by 11.30pm and we would kindly ask you to respect this
Any food or drinks, alcholic or non that were not purchased from Donatellos can not be consumed in the restaurant
A minimum spend of €16 per person on food is required in the restaurant, this includes upstairs, Upstairs is now operating as restaurant and is no longer operating as a bar,  full range of drinks and cocktails are available as you dine
The use of face masks is required when in the restaurant, this includes going to the bathroom or when moving from your table

Our Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and we adhere to GDPR compliance. By sending us reservation form or sending us an email, you have agreed to provide us the information to make a reservation, this information includes your Full Name, Phone Number and your Email address. You also give us consent to use the information provided in the Special Requests Field in the reservation form, the message in your email subject/body , you may provide this information over the Phone call/Text Message or in person at the restaurant, which may contain your personal information.

We do not sell or use this information for any other purpose.

Information collected from you will be saved in a secure manner and this information will be removed from our system with in the period of six years or you can send us a request to remove your information from our system at no any extra cost.

 

Our Group Booking Policy

Thank you for your enquiry for booking at Donatello’s Restaurant.

Please find below information regarding our Group booking policy.  If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact one of our Managers on Duty at 01 610 6558.  Please be aware that your table is not confirmed booked until a deposit has been taken and you have been contacted by our Coordinator to confirm the reservation. We look forward to welcoming you to Donatello’s Restaurant.

Deposits

Group bookings: €100.00 deposit is required for group booking of 10 or more. Deposit will be used  as a part of the payment for your party. 

Final confirmation of numbers is required 48 hours prior to the date of the booking.

Note:   A charge will apply for ‘no-shows’ – NB

 

All Deposits are non-transferable or refundable.

 

 

Note we treat all group reservations as PROVISIONAL until the booking deposit has been received.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Full cancellation for large groups is 7 days & a minimum of 48 hours is required to notify of a reduction of numbers^ booked.

No Show Policy: 

We will only charge on a deposit in the event of a late cancellation, significant reduction^ of numbers or a complete ‘No-Show’.

^by significant means over 5 people; if a party was to reduce by 2-3 people on the day it is not seen as a big issue; but notice of any changes in booking sizes would be greatly appreciated as demand is extremely high over the weekends and Christmas period.

 

 Please note:

 

  • Discretionary 10% service charge will apply for groups of ten & more.
  • Please advise your server regarding any allergies or special dietary requests.
  • We can adopt some of our dishes on request to (V) Vegetarian or (CF) Coeliac Friendly.  Some of our dishes may contain nuts & other allergens (please ask a server).
  • We will always try to accommodate specific seating requests, but please note this may not always be possible.  Seating requests are viewed only as requests and not as confirmed seating arrangements. While we will endeavour to seat parties on one table, this may not be possible.  Large parties may be split over multiple tables adjacent to each other. Usually there is a maximum table size of 8-12 people per table.
  • Corkage is not permitted.  We have a full range of wine, prosecco & cava on the premises.
  • We can split bills by tables (However prior notice is required), however, we CANNOT split bills individually for tables of 6 or more due to operational restrictions during the busy festive season.
